Level 3 Paediatric First Aid

This Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid course meets the requirements of the Early Years foundation stage statutory framework. This course meets Ofsted requirements for registered childminders and the requirements under the Approved Carers Scheme.

This course is designed for people working with children and infants in any capacity and this is the certification required to be fully trained.

Roles & Responsibilities of the First Aider

Assessing an Emergency Situation & Prioritising Action

Unresponsive Casualty (Not Breathing) - Infant, Child & Adult.

Defibrillator (AED)

Unresponsive Casualty (Breathing) - Infant, Child & Adult

Choking - Infant & Child

Head Injuries

Seizures

Burns, Bleeds & Shock

Anaphylaxis

Meningitis

Diabetic emergency

Asthma attack

Injury to a bone muscle or joint (including spinal injuries)

Hypothermia and heat exhaustion
